October 2, 2009 Mr. David Mapp Assistant Executive Director Virgin Islands Port Authority St.Croix USVI,U.S.A. 00821 Dear Mr. Mapp, I have carried and defended OUR flag, OUR colors on foreign soils from 1969 through 1977 as a staff sergeant in the United Stated Army. I have continued to defend OUR flag for over 30 years even when it may not be the popular thing to do. Even at my age, I will not allow anyone in my presence to desecrate or disrespect OUR flag. I have placed our flag with the union down as a cry for help. I am asking for help from the United States Government, I am crying for help from the United States Government of the Virgin Islands. We are in DIRE Distress and immanent destruction of the company I work for without the help of the United States government. I fly OUR colors in a true form of PATRIOTISM. Anyone with a military history knows this is NOT DISRESPECT for our colors. Her field is down but she represents a living entity and she is flying and asking for help from her country. The Supreme Court has protected my privilege and Rights in the 1st amendment to display our colors in this manner. I am in compliance with UNITED STATES CODE Title 4 the Flag Chapter 1, ss8 a. I am not in good health since I had 4 stints placed in my heart largely from dealing with high stress levels I believe created from the property management and I am in danger of loss of life on H.E. Rohlsen Airport. The company I work for has been extorted and harassed far to long from VIPA Property staff with power and unchecked authority. There are now ex employees of this company on the streets unemployed and in danger while this company and its property are being destroyed. All of this is costing the port authority loss of revenues on a Dailey basis. I believe we now have some true professionals in the Port Police and the fire department as well as TSA on H.E. Rohlsen Airport, but they simply do not have the manpower to protect us. There have been multiple fence cut ins, penetrations to our AOA, Fuel and equipment tampered with, property stolen from this facility in the confines of Henry E. Rohlsen Airport. We are in danger at this facility. As a result of many unconstitutional acts or legislation passed or committed against US citizens, their life, liberty and property, I believe the life liberty and property of US Citizens on this airport are in dire danger and distress. You Sir in my opinion have disrespected our union in at least the following manners: You Sir have accused me of disrespecting Our colors, Our flag, Our country and the Fallen of Our United States Armed Forces, to which I do take great offense. You Sir disrespect and desecrate Our UNION and Our Colors every time your position allows activities for personal gain instead of the betterment of Our Airport, Our Citizens, and Our Islands economy. You sir disrespect our union when you allow promotion of one entity on this airport and chastise the one that won’t make contributions for personal gain. You sir disrespect our colors when you allow advertising from your budget for one FBO and not the other. You Sir Disrespect our flag when you allow a decrease in rent to one FBO and increase it for another FBO. You Sir, disrespect our country every time you allow FAA money to be used for purposes other than our Airport or its intended purposes. You Sir disrespect our Country, Our Flag, and the citizens she stands for when you allow prejudicial evictions or active discrimination of one company over another by evicting one company and not the other when both are in arrears on rent agreements. You Sir have allowed Taxiways constructed and maintained Taxiways for one FBO and not others. You Sir have aggressively stopped almost every avenue of this company to generate money for employees and the port authority. You have stopped us from operating aviation related companies on this facility and in fact offered some of them space under direct control of the Port. We may have many differences Mr. Mapp, but I am the last person you want to accuse of disrespecting our flag or our country and the living entity she represents.
